 Sir Ricky's Inspirational Poetry Corner

poetryofadove

I called unto the Lord,
Because of my distress;
And not to be ignored,
As I go to confess.

I called for a reason,
Because of affliction;
Of all that have been done,
Within my conviction.

Can He hear me down deep,
In the depths of my grave;
In a box that I sleep,
Knowing that He will save.

Will the Lord hear my cry,
Such a distressful voice;
And never asking why,
As it makes me rejoice.

To the depths of the sea,
In the deep I was thrown;
Where life will end for me,
Losing all that I own.

Whitecaps upon the wave,
Are sweeping over me;
In a watery grave,
That my eyes cannot see.

So will I ever see,
The Holy house again;
Because where would I be,
If I obeyed back then.

Water acts as a threat,
Seaweed wrapped on my head;
To clear a sinful debt,
So to be pure instead.

This gives me time to think,
But I will sacrifice;
Be with God if I sink,
Since this world does entice.

No longer will I fear,
As my life slips away;
Knowing that God is near,
I will trust and obey.
