Gentle answers turn away rage,
But a harsh word will stir up wrath;
Like a lion out of his cage,
Waiting for you within your path.
Tongues of the wise has a good brain,
But the mouths of fools flows a flood,
Of stupidity causing pain,
And lips merely filled words of crud.
The eyes of God are everywhere,
As they are watching all people;
They see each of us that does care,
And will worship in the temple.
The soothing tongues are trees of life,
But deceitful tongues break the spirit;
Merely causing toils and strife,
Insulting all of your merit.
Stubborn fools despise discipline,
Never learns to trust and obey;
And constantly builds up his sin,
Consistently going astray.
A great treasure waits for the wise,
An inheritance in Heaven;
To whom found favor in His eyes,
Upon arrival be given.
The lips of the wise loves to spread,
Knowledge that pleases the Lord;
But wicked people will merely dread,
Hearing and lets it be ignored.
The foolish have an attitude,
That disgusts the Lord and evil;
Filled up with an arrogant mood,
And been dwelling in the devil.
Discipline is a dreadful load,
To all who leaves the righteous path;
It will cause potholes on their road,
That God will be filling with wrath.
A hothead will stir up a fight,
While liking a thorny hedge;
Remain in darkness not the light,
Would push the righteous off a ledge.
