Fret not from evil doers,
Or as envious of them;
They are mainly abusers,
That soon the Lord will condemn.
They will soon dry up like grass,
Whither away like green plants;
Or dissipate like a gas,
Or fade like a dead romance.
Trust the Lord and do good things,
Practice in being faithful;
Delight in what the Lord brings,
And always being grateful.
So be happy with the Lord,
The desires of your heart;
If you stay in one accord,
He will reward to impart.
Entrust your ways to the Lord,
If you trust Him He will act;
Desires never ignored,
For He bonds you in a pact.
He will make your righteous shine,
Brighter than the noonday sun;
No longer complain or whine,
Of the past what has been done.
Surrender yourself to Him,
Patiently wait for the Lord;
No longer will things look grim,
If you stay in one accord.
Let go of anger and hate,
While leaving rage behind;
The Lord will show you your fate,
A pleasant future to find.
For the meek shall inherit,
And enjoy ultimate peace;
But count not on just your merit,
Of the past God to release.
