Turn To Me

When you were lonely did you think of me
Think of me as someone to turn to; confide in.
When you thought no one cared, to blind to see.
That I was that person, to make you feel good again.
When you thought all was lost; couldn't see the way through.
Did you think that I may be your guiding light; a star in the sky.
I could be that person who would light the way for you.
A person who would gladly wipe away tears you that you cry.
When in your life you have fallen, your strength was all gone.
Did you think to turn to me, a rock for you to hold to; to lift you up.
Did you know that in waiting here in silence I have been there all along.
Ready and willing to carry you when life has made you think you've had enough.
When you have struggled with heartache; you thought you had to face alone.
Did you think to turn to me for comfort, a true friend by your side.
The pathway to happiness for you I would galdly have shown.
With a warm embrace, encouraging words, I would heal your pride.
So I kindly remind you, when your life gets to rough.
When the struggles of life compound upon you.
Remember it is in those moments you should not give up.
But simply remember you have a true friend to turn to.
