THE WORLD OF TODAY
Away back when since the very day that I was born
So much I've felt needed written about in life..
And I see now a world I really often think creates
All its very own woe and daily self created strife..
I myself played as a child with the simplest of toys
And was then like all ever thankful for same true..
And now today I look around at the world that be
At most of todays children and the things parents do..
Sadly I see most children world wide as if all bribed
By their parents with the best and latest toys that be..
All creating today an almost world of as if spoiled children
Mostly as to have parents I guess feel still as parents free..
And then I come to realize these same children are mostly
Sadly all raised without knowing the values once taught..
All of the priceless things that self building it over time brings
For them no need to know them as just ask and it'll be bought..
Long gone the old school accomplishments and being so proud
And children learning to appreciate the little things within..
All learning how to do some things themselves their own way
And giving them character positive self ability is not a sin..
Giving them pride of something they have created themselves
Or knowing the feeling of earning in order to in life gain..
Having them in life be so confident within themselves always
And even children knowing within sunshine comes from rain..
Yet another reason I do so adore living in the Philippines
Children born with love respect and endless sincere care..
That play all day as one happily with a bike tire and a stick
All together as dearest friends and out in the freshest air..
With politeness and all well spoken happy in heart and in soul..
Never ever wanting anything more than they have it's true
All born loving angels as if from a time gone in days of old..
And sadly then I look around again at the world that now be
Outside of where I live with love happiness peace of mind..
And I see a world of children robbed of all things priceless
Of the priceless values integrities and the likes now left behind..
