Survivor
The Bible gives clear warning
That love can oft wax cold
And I had to learn that lesson late
After I had grown quite old.
These days I sometimes feel alone
But really don't know why
And though I'm blessed in many ways
I fight the urge to cry.
Because of certain friends of mine
Who turned their backs on me
And left me with a broken heart
That didn't have to be.
But I am a survivor
The Lord will see me through
For He will never let me down
The way some people do.
