Upon your mind a war is fought
A lesser man, attention caught
Brings to view upon my bench
Sits your soul burden by stench
A carving session, much in need
This carpenter to intercede
Hands that heal that man would scar
Man like you still loved not barred
For lack of faith and selfishness
Has made a mess of you, much less
Doubts made their way and had their fill
Drained of hope, your soul near killed
Waits upon the hands of one
This Carpenter, Gods loving son
With my hands I'll chip away
The rough once smooth of battered day
The marred that came to be of you
The blind that came, that seeks breakthrough
Tired? My voice questions again
Be still my son your wounds I tend
For pain like streams runs from eyes
Pain that causes hearts to cry
Sit and let me cut away
The hurt the price you've paid this day
Know this my son as work I do
Upon your heart yours I speak to
With merciful hands, my hands not yours
Shall make amends to loss endured
Draw deep breath of mine and see
Breathe my plans for destiny
Yours well planned before your time
Came to be of you now mine
Do not faint but keep awake
I shall be done before too late
Rest now my son as work is done
Creation mine, as is the Sun
Shall rise again better you see
To claim birth right, dream yours decreed
