SIGHT NOR SOUND

SIGHT NOR SOUND

The blackout curtain has come down
They say this while wearing a frown,
Like two ships that pass in the night
Of the other there is no sight.

No sound of engines on the go
This makes their heart beat very slow,
It could be that there is a fog
Who can see through such a smog?

A mayday call made here and there
This lack of contact is hard to bear,
Drifting aimlessly all alone
Lost at sea their fate unknown.

It could be that they`ve run aground
And in the fog there is no sound,
The tide will turn and they will float
Manning once more their sailing boat.

The lighthouse will glow in the dark
Showing them that there is a spark,
A dim light is a ray of hope
Seeing this then they can cope.

They`ll follow the light to the end
A radio signal they will send,
The distress call will be heard
This situation is so absurd.

Then daylight will dawn once again
Their charted course they will regain,
They`ll sail off into the sunset
No more fog to cause a threat.
