My life script takes so many turns
Last week there was a murder blocks from my home
Day later cops are surrounding my home
A scruffy kid is sitting without answers
at the end of my block the world is scary
Then I open the morning paper
Woodinville student is stabbed to death
For no reason in linville Oregon
Last year he was a linebacker standing next to my Grandson
Later this week the trial begins for the killing of Yanci
Yanci a neat young boy innocent was driving home from work
A car pulled up beside him and for no reason shot him
Later the boys said he wanted to know what it felt like
When it all comes down this is about drugs and thugs
Yet all over the country they are voting in legal drugs
I hate to think the devil is writing my script
America wake up to what drugs are doing to your kids
