At one time you were dead,
For the failures and sin;
Worldly pleasures instead,
Corrupted you within.
You followed ways of earth,
Of an impure swayer;
Thought of having much worth,
As a good persuader.
This ruler still does work,
But will not obey God;
He really such a jerk,
Does not honor and laud.
All of us once did live,
Amongst all these people;
And desires to give,
A corrupted gospel.
Such a corrupt nature,
Following desires;
As an evil creature,
The unchaste acquires.
We deserve His anger,
Just as all the others;
Because we were vulgar,
As sisters and brothers.
But God rich in His grace,
Has given His great love;
Decided to embrace,
And forgive us thereof.
God brought us back to life,
Together through His Son;
And help us through the strife,
Until this life is done.
God made us what we are,
And created us in Christ;
And is healing each scar,
If no longer enticed.
