If I Stand Alone
If I have to stand all by myself
That's precisely what I'll do
In spite of those who feel that I
Should change my point of view.
No doubt, they think me quite unwise
One who cannot relate
Convinced that in this modern age
My views are out of date.
But I would strongly disagree
For they who lost my trust
Are those who simply thought that I
Would soon learn to adjust.
But that's not going to happen
Since my values are my own
And I will not forsake them now
Even if I stand alone.
That's precisely what I'll do
In spite of those who feel that I
