My Beautiful Mountains

My Beautiful Mountains

My beautiful mountains yes they are mine.
Standing strong since my birth, they're my rock.
I've used them to find my way when I was lost,
Pointing my way north my compass.
I have found solitude beneath it's pines.
My beautiful mountains, yes they are mine.
I've been embraced, laying in it's tall grasses.
It's streams have given me comfort from sorrow.
I have spent many moments deep in an aspen grove.
The wind in the leaves have given me great advice.
I have found joy while hearing the crunching of fallen leaves.
Happiness it has given to me in its freshly laid snow.
It has never judge me, but has brought me faith.
My mountains have more then once saved this broken soul.
So when I say these are my mountains,
Know they truly are mine.
