Our roots were under a cloud,
When they had traveled through a sea;
While many within the crowd,
Wondered where their new land would be.
They were united in the cloud,
All of them ate spiritual food;
Singing all of their joys aloud,
Trying to maintain a good mood.
They drank from the spiritual rock.
Which happened to be our Christ;
And as they wandered in their walk,
They thought how much was sacrificed.
Yet God had not been very pleased,
With a massive number of them;
Causing some to become diseased,
Since God decided to condemn.
These things have become example,
So that we have no desires;
In accordance with the Gospel,
When we set our own fires.
So do not worship a false god,
As some of the Scriptures have said;
Just rid yourself of any fraud,
And worship the true God instead.
There is not any temptation,
That is unusual to man;
And allowing His salvation,
In being approved through His plan.
God who faithfully will keep,
His promises just as He has said;
For in the end time He will reap,
Those who are spiritually fed.
God will never allow you to,
Lured beyond your might to resist;
But if you are He gives to you,
Force if temptation does persist.
