Thinking Back to Dad's Activity Scene

My dad, Mr. Gennis Ervin Brickhouse, Sr., was a great man!
He, around Christmastime, would put out the decorations for our tree and the other things around the house.
One of the things he'd put out was the Nativity scene which  he called it the activity scene.
No one ever disputed Dad for he knew what he meant to say.
I was most proud of my dad for he worked and labored so hard at the work he did.
He was a machine tender within a roofing factory.
It was an auspicious position that he worked up to and it was his to do.
But the ‘activity scene' was a miniature Nativity scene complete with the manger and the little baby.
What a precious gift this was from my late aunt.
A time to remember was this time and how well do I remember the good feelings we had back then when Christmas rolled again.
Joy fills my being as I think of this special time and reflect upon the love that was ours to share.
Jesus was and remains to be the Headliner for all time.
Praise the name of Jesus for all He has done and is doing.
Making this ‘activity scene' something to remember.
