 Sir Ricky's Inspirational Poetry Corner

poetryofadove

The shadow of the soul,
In early morning light;
Just loves to take a stroll,
As the charm shines so bright.

Walking down the old street,
Through the old part of town;
Your charm with those you meet,
Makes them change that old frown.

Come and see the sunrise,
Fading out the last stars;
Looking so bright and wise,
Headlights turned off on cars.

Such beauty to behold,
So beautiful my love;
As the story being told,
Of the essence thereof.

The kisses of your beams,
Such warmth of your rays;
Just too short as it seems,
Time we spend in the days.

Leaves are wet from the dew,
But moisture has now gone;
As rays of light come through;
From the warmth of the dawn.

But summer went away,
Making way for the fall;
As the north winds now stray,
Winter is now put on call.

The warmth of summer breeze,
Has now shifted more south;
As snow whisper to trees,
Feel cold air from my mouth.

Nearly the end of a year,
Nesting in our beds;
As snow brings on the fear,
Cold thoughts in our heads.

The days are growing short,
Replaced by the dark night;
When will the sun deport,
The dark and bring back light.
