Nine Years and Ten Months Ago-D

Mom has been gone for over twelve years.
Dad is now nine years and ten months since he too has passed.
Both loved me with a great love that was our  bond together.
I honor Dad today and say what  a great man he was.
Having loved me; he cared for me and did things to help me that I didn't deserve.
I was one who had a hidden past that was not forthcoming to have anyone to know.
There are skeletons within my closet today I am ashamed to say.
Not loving my dad as I should is one of them.
Dad always gave to me with the hard work he did and the two jobs he held.
He worked in a tireless manner at whatever he would do.
The only vice Dad had was to smoke which he stopped after a time.
I know he loved me for he told me and showed me which is far better than any words.'
Yes, I want to honor Dad today for having been one to show me love.
He is; in Heaven today for making his decision for Jesus years ago.
