Flashback - PTSD
He’s six foot one
Muscles in his spit
Only a brave man
Would give him any shxt,
Yet he’s standing there
Trembling and trying
But he can’t stop himself
From sobbing and crying.
Bosnia flashback,
Vision and sound,
So the other Veterans
All gather around
And they listen
And they talk
Because all of them
Have walked the walk.
Not long after
Flashback gone,
Normal life
Just carries on.
Or at least as normal
As it’s ever been
Coping with memories
Of what they’ve seen.
