Would You Help Me

Would You Help Me
By D. Cody Herring

Would you help me, if you saw me falling.
Hear the pain; pain I have left unspoken.
Would hear the my cries silently calling.
Try to heal a heart that seems so broken.
Would you find out what could be wrong.
Lift me to my feet, show kindness unknown.
Encourage me, fill my heart with song.
Let your light shine brighter than you've ever known.
Show me the world isn't as bad as it seems.
Would you be the shoulder I can lean on.
Raise me up, so I can again see my dreams.
Would you be my strength until I am strong.
Would you stop the sad tears in my eyes.
Kneel down near, wipe them with your sleeve.
Chase away the storm clouds in my skies.
Or would you simple walk past, just leave.
Let me fight my own battle, win or lose.
It has nothing to do with you, not worth it.
This is my fault stick with the path I chose.
Knowing that I'm nowhere near perfect.
What if that was the last chance for me.
If I decided this life; for me was just too much.
The way out; I no longer was able to see.
It all could have been stopped by a loving touch.
Someone who took the time to rescue a life.
Would you be the hero, for a broken soul.
To be a guide, someone who shine a light.
Would you be the one who simply let's it go.
To be a friend in someones darkest hour.
A healer, who cures a wounded heart.
A giver of love, who knows love's power.
A simple decision is where it all could start.
