'' Don't Let It Dig Your Own Grave ''

It's classed as a gift,
It can give you a lift,
But it can also bring terrible trouble,
Be careful or you'll suffer very short shrift,
Small talk can reduce you to rubble.

Angry ones spoken,
Can leave others broken,
An apology doesn't always suffice,
They can be perceived as a hate filled token,
So try your best to be nice.

Take the bully,
They love being unruly,
What they say can destroy a good life,
Their despicable actions they know fully,
Can and do cut like a knife.

Family or friends,
The list never ends,
Even strangers can feel the effect,
Think of the content your message sends,
Your reputation you must try to protect.

Gossip is cheap,
Yes it can make you weep,
Ensure you do not get involved,
Before you know it that hole is too deep,
Your mistakes cannot be resolved.

Our communication,
Is a great creation?
But it can be used to abuse,
Cheap jibes will lead to an altercation,
To avoid it it's for you to refuse.

Watch what you say,
Each and every day,
Gossiping doesn't mean you are brave,
A tongue's like a shovel it can cause affray,
