Mom Was the Female Patriarch of Our Family

Mom's words were law when it came to my brother and myself.
Mom determined the things we were able to do and some of what we did.
Dad did have his place as a patriarch as well but Mom stood by his side.
Love very much abounded the whole time of growing and maturing.
Mom was always thinking of my  best interests and would put her foot down at times.
These were the rough times for I wasn't allowed to do what I wanted all the time.
No son or daughter should have this about themselves without there being restraints on what they can do for their own good.
Make it a point to be humble and dedicated to be in accordance with your parents as we were to Mom.
I am glad it was like this for I learned many things I didn't know before with Mom taking the reigns of my life from me.
I call Mom Blessed today for she is most certainly this as the Scriptures said she would be.
I only wish there would be more times for me today with Mom but there isn't for Mom is; in Heaven today.
