The sands of the shoreline are always shifting
Never the same, one moment to the next
The clouds drift through the morning sky
Never the same, one moment to the next
Time escapes our grasp as the ticks keep tocking
Never the same, one moment to the next
Life is new growth from the decay of yesterday
Never the same, one moment to the next
In the quiet stillness, I can see my life changing
Never the same, one moment to the next
Age slowly attacks the walls once erected
Never the same, one moment to the next
Rust oxidizes the metals forged by mankind
Never the same, one moment to the next
I walk the earth, then I fall back to the dust
Never the same, one moment to the next
Death bring definition to the gift of life
Never the same, one moment to the next
The only thing permanent is impermanence
