My Country

My Country                             December 20, 2014

They try to put us down by guilt and shame
The forget what happened, don't give us shame
Remember the past when our country was one
Before they came with the rule of the gun
Ireland my country united as one
The troubles have begun
Take my land, terrorize my people
Impose your church and steeple
Destroy the Irish way of life
Kill, Kill Kill my Irish life
England you're a monster without regard
You killed for greed, so sad, so sad
You still have my heart with what you hold
Free the people, you've been told
The new children of Ireland will let you know
A message from freedom is "Go, Go, Go"
We have no hate to show
Go away to stay
Freedoms on the way
They try to put us down by guilt and shame
The forget what happened, don' give us shame
