Old Man Winter By EDWIN FLORES, www.PoetryPoem.com/poetry2231 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
For years it drew upon my being
My place, my state, truly believing
Inside my home, inside this day
Of heart and soul refuge it's made
It came to pass in younger days
Where snow storms made outside to play
Making snowmen and forts of snow
Stocked with snowballs I use to know
Perfect ammo to fend off foes
Perfectly round from head to toe
Became Frosty a dear old friend
As spring drew near his time would end
And so it came to be this way
As aged became of youthful days
Wrinkles now run their course and rest
From race in life that gave its best
Old Man Winter
