Sin came into this world, Through only one person; And then death was unfurled, From sin produced by one. Death spread like a disease, For everyone sinned; Because God was not pleased, No one was disciplined. Sin was here on the earth, Prior to any laws; All were sinful at birth, From their existing flaws. Yet death ruled from the time, Of Adam till Moses; Disobedient crime, Was all they could focus. No record was then kept, Because there was no rules; No one watched where they stepped, So they acted like fools. Even those who had not sinned, Were treated the same way; As one undisciplined, That dares to disobey. Adam is an image, Of the one to arrive; To repair the damage, And the dead to revive. Not a thing to compare, Between Adam and Christ; For no traits do they share, Since Christ was sacrificed. If humanity died, Because of a failure; Hope is lost and God lied, Not giving a Savior. But the kindness of God, Had given us a way; To purify where flawed, If we trust and obey. Copyright © 2014 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
