These things that I will say amen, Whoever is faithful and true; I know God will never condemn, For having the same point of view. He knows all of what you have done, That you are neither cold nor hot; Just lukewarm as said by the Son, Hot or cold you are surely not. He wishes you were hot or cold, But since you are merely lukewarm; You are tasting like stale and old, For it never has been your norm. He will spit you out from His lips, No matter if you are wealthy; He is not amused by your quips, You are not morally healthy. You do not realize you are blind, Miserable, naked and poor; And with having an impure mind, Dazed and confused mainly unsure. Buy gold purified in fire, Then you will be a wealthy man; With white clothes that you acquire, Makes others think you have a plan. The white clothes will be hiding shame, Your naked body will not show; Open your eyes and see your fame. Fade away like the melted snow. God will correct and discipline, Everyone that He does love; So anytime that you do sin, Expect punishment from above. For He stands at the door and knocks, To see if you might hear His voice; As the door opens in He walks, Waiting to see if you rejoice. Copyright © 2014 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
