Sitting in stillness, in darkness;

Alone with the kitty.

Hearing a steady purr;

Sweet is this peace.

My thoughts slow to a crawl;

Delicate is this balance.

Not judging the moment;

Just breathing, senses aware.

Focus is relaxed, without goals;

Loneliness without meaning.

Feeling the warmth of the Creator;

Experiencing equanimity.

Sitting cross legged on the floor;

Treasured is this experience.

Alone in this moment with the cat.

A smile touches my face, then a grin;
