Let’s Party
I don’t know if Canadians can party better than others
But they sure can say the word well
As you hear the word rolling off their lips you can almost feel the energy
The power of a party
Conjuring up thrills and chills not experienced down south of the border
Let’s party
I don’t know if Canadians have more fun than others do
But they sure can say the word well
I hear the manifest of cheer and good times without discord or hangovers
The energy of fun
Their speech leads my thoughts into the vibrations of the dance
Let’s have fun
I don’t know if Canadians have friendlier smiles than others do
But they sure have an inviting manner
I am carried away by their charm and ease into the fullness of a party
The power of a smile
As they tend to invite merriment and joyousness, frivolity and playfulness
Let’s enjoy ourselves
The word rolls so beautifully off their silver tongues
Come to a party
It seems to have a better definition in their dictionary than in mine
I wonder at the inflection and the precision as the word cuts through my lifetime of inhibitions
So say the word one more time to free my soul, hey
Party… Mmm, now that’s a word
