These are the commands, laws and rules,
Not following makes you all fools;
The Lord your God commanded me,
In teaching you and make you see.
Obey them as you enter the land,
Taking possession where you stand;
As long as you live you must fear,
Knowing that your Lord God is near.
For all of you have to obey,
Through each and every day;
The laws and commands I give you,
Then you will live a long time too.
Listen, be careful to obey,
They keep you from going astray;
Then things will go well in the land,
Never treading on sinking sand.
The land flows with milk and honey,
You will prosper making money;
As your Lord God has promised you,
If you will be remaining true.
The Lord is our only God,
The one only true not a fraud;
Love your Lord God with all your heart,
As you never let Him depart.
With all of your soul and your might,
Always keep Him within your sight;
Take these words that I give today,
Remember to trust and obey.
Repeat them unto your child,
So that he never runs wild;
Talk to them when they are away,
Never lured for going astray.
Write them down and wear on your wrist,
When temptations strike you resist;
Write them on doors and your walls,
So no one in the household falls.
