letter from the heart.

Here I am sat,
With no idea how to start,
I just don't know how to write,
What I feel within my heart.

The aching I feel without you,
The constant reminiscing,
Looking through the story of my life,
And how now there's a piece missing.

I think about you all the time,
The heartache hidden by a smile,
Carrying on like im OK,
But silently falling to pieces all the while.

I thought you'd be back by now,
Honestly expected you to call,
But I have to accept you have gone,
And you're not coming back after all.

I miss you in way I can't explain,
I wish I could help you see,
That all I ever asked of you,
Was to realise how much you mean to me.

I let you in my life,
But you also won my heart,
And for some reason I can't walk away,
Please dont end the story when you were the start.

I hate knowing you're out there somewhere,
I hate knowing you're not coming back to me,
But most of all I hate this aching pain I feel,
I hate how I miss you when I try to sleep.
