I recall strolling through the quiet hallway,
Looking for the number that was dwelling on your wooden door.
Feet... legs... shaking for i knew...
Nothing was going to be the same as before.
I entered into your doorway.
And saw you eating your hospital food.
Thin, frail, yet grinning from ear to ear,
I sat down not wanting to be rude.
You told me stories i didn't know,
And you said how you promised so...
Promised that you would never leave grandma,
Because you love her so.
You knew... i knew.. that you were going to
Have to say goodbye to what you knew,
That a whole new chapter with the angels,
Was in your life a new.
Before leaving you there,
I spoke softly sweet,
Saying i love you and goodbye,
not to be afraid of all the angels you will meet.
