Life is short and we don't know what we've got
They tried to take it from us, friends got shot
The leaders of our country, I hope we've not forgot
murdered by England, taken out and shot
They came with force and raped our land
They came with force to claim Ireland
The gap of danger like the Soldiers Song
Cromwell came with England's shame
We rose and played the Patriot game
They came with force to fail
Welcome to the children of the Gael
From the little streets where the Orange drum beat
Irish people said "No" to defeat
Leave our land or face the people
We do not want you're church and steeple
We're Irish and free, you and me
A nation united together and free
Go home British soldiers leave our land now
