 Sir Ricky's Inspirational Poetry Corner

poetryofadove

We obtain mercy, but faint not,
Nor never to be discouraged;
For any truth that we have sought,
Rather zealously encouraged.

God has given to us His grace,
In seeing what we have received;
This ministry that we embrace,
Everyone should have believed.

But we have refused hidden things,
The secrets and the shameful way;
No matter how much pleasure it brings,
We have learned to trust and obey.

We do not use tricks or distort,
The Word and never use deceit;
Never would we try to resort,
For our purpose it would defeat.

As God watches we do reveal,
The expression about the truth;
We are able to break the seal,
To find out who has been uncouth.

Even if our Gospel is veiled,
It is veiled in those that perish;
The power of it has not failed,
To all of those who do cherish.

The dark prince makes some to be blind,
In the Gospel not to believe;
Then nonsense will fill up their mind,
Salvation they will not receive.

Then they do not know what is right,
Of the Good News of the story;
And they will never see the light,
Of Jesus Christ and His glory.

We preach of Jesus Christ as Lord,
And the light shines out of the dark;
When He is beloved and adored,
He will guide us as we embark.
