Peachy

 

Peachy has become my habitual response

When someone asks me “How are you doing?”

 

Good or bad

Happy or blue

Frisky or sedate

My attitude about life

Is summed up by the word “Peachy”

 

Remembering eating a fresh peach

The crisp bite externally

Leads my teeth into the softness

The delicious fruit inside

Sweet and succulent

Juices dribbling down my chin

Mmm

Yes, there is a pit within

But without this seed, nothing new grows

 

So if you ask me "How are things, my friend?"

I will say, as always... "I’m Peachy!"
