The things that I once thought,
As having some value;
And obsessed as I sought,
The pleasure that seemed true.
But I see how worthless,
With my life into Christ;
And having to confess,
With pleasures sacrificed.
It is far more than that,
Knowing now my true worth;
Becoming lazy and fat,
While on planet earth.
I have insight to see,
So much is just worthless;
With no value to me,
Now that feels so bogus.
It is better knowing,
Jesus Christ is my Lord;
As His love is flowing,
Keeps me in one accord.
It is because I see,
All the horror around;
What this world did to me;
Want to be Heaven bound.
There is nothing on earth,
That I am holding dear;
Nothing having its worth,
For holding me back here.
If your faith is mature,
Then you have reached your goal;
Since you have the cure,
His Spirit has control.
Then you have victory,
No longer a sinner;
And not a mystery,
That you are a winner.
