Underneath the yellow moon and falling stars

Underneath The Yellow Moon and Falling Stars

Laying on my back I watch the stars fall from the sky.
The yellow moon raises slowly into my view.
Stillness surrounds me, enchanting beauty in my eye.
Images I begin to reflect as they appear in my mind.
Pictures of happiness scared that they may fade.
Erased by forgetfulness that comes with passing time.
I begin to realize what I am laying here alone without.
I long for you; a simple touch, a soft hand to clasp.
A recollection that started as a whisper now a shout.
Laying here I need to hear you velvet voice; so gentle.
To listen to your opinion about the night's perfect sky.
Create a moment to have something great; sentimental.
I can see your smile although it is slowly fading away.
The light in your eyes in my mind is now slowly dimming.
Something that happens when I haven't seen you in days.
So as for now I lay on my back underneath a yellow moon.
Wishing on each and every falling star that comes into view.
Waiting until we are together; wanting above all to be with you.
