Stop Throwing Stones

You’re thinking you’re not good enough…
You’ve let everybody down.
You’re a disappointment to the Lord…
That guilty feeling has you bound.

You’re beating up upon yourself…
Sure, you’ve messed up, this is true…
But you’re siding with the enemy
When you are criticizing you.

You’ve wounded your own heart by each
attacking accusation.
You’re lying to yourself because
You’re free from condemnation.

In Christ you’re safe from all the darts
Thrown by the enemy.
So to throw them at yourself is
Giving him the victory.

If Christ is for you, then I ask
Who can against you be?
The only answer, at this point,
That you can give is me.

Yes, you, yourself, for your God has
Conquered your every foe.
 That inner barrage against yourself
Will simply have to go!

O, no one can separate you
From the caring love of Christ.
Just be sorry for your sins
For He’s already paid the price.

You may mess up…we sometimes do…
But this is why He came.
And forgiveness comes to anyone
Who calls upon His Name .

So forgive yourself…stop throwing stones
At that soul for whom He died.
If your inner self says you’re  not worthy…
God says your inner self has lied.

Romans 8:31
What shall we then say to these things?
If God is for us, who can be against us?

1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just
to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us
 from all unrighteousness.

Romans 8:1
Therefore, there is now no condemnation
for those who are in Christ Jesus,

Romans 8:38-39
For I am convinced that neither death,
nor life, nor angels, nor principalities,
nor things present, nor things to come,
nor powers, nor height, nor depth,
nor any other created thing, will be
able to separate us from the love of God,
which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
