This Man Will Fight
Wave after wave I'm fighting; pounding down upon me.
Giving me every reason to give up, as trials come endlessly.
Trying so hard to catch my breath any breath; before the next fight.
Not seeing where I went wrong, but seeing what I didn't do right.
Looking around to see if anyone is coming to rescue me.
Seeing I'm alone I say outloud "No I'm not going to sink that easy."
"No I'm not going to sink that easy."
Mountain after mountain leading me to another cliff to climb.
Fighting all alone no one around to take a hold of my life line.
Pebbles turn to stones, stone become boulders another trial in the way.
Knowing that this can't go on these dark times are not here to stay.
Looking around forever mountains high is all that my eyes can see.
Gather my strength and I say "No I'm not going to fall that easy."
"No I'm not going to fall that easy."
Blow after blow the punches keep on hitting battered and brused.
People yelling from the crowd for me to give up what's the use.
The opponent is bigger a goliath and David fight once again.
Eyes swollen shut, bloodied gashes still they're screaming give in.
I come running out from my corner fighting for who I want to be.
Fist raised standing toe to toe I say "I'm not going down that easy."
"No I'm not going down that easy."
Down this road flat traveling with ease seems a change in the tide.
Through the waves over mountains, many fights, I stand with pride.
Knowing I made it this far obstacles trials I have overcome in my life.
I have learned from my wrongs celebrated each and everyone of my rights.
Knowing at times when I look around there is someone there to rescue me.
But in the times when I struggle on my own I say "No I'm not going out that easy."
"No I'm not going out that easy."
This man will give life a fight worth talking about.
