An Unopened Book

The Leader

There are people who enter in your life.
Who enter without a sound nor reason.
A reason that is hidden, kept out of sight.
It isn't until they are gone that you find.
You realize the changes they made unknowingly.
You were one such person broight in to my life.
I found myself in a situation that was new to me.
With patience and kindness you taught, did it right.
Throughout the years you watched me grow.
I grew with confidence that I knew I lacked.
Even when I doubted myself, you never let me go.
You often told me to speak up; quite a feat for me.
You told me to stand tall so I may be heard.
Although now I am still quiet others I see beleive.
Believe in the leader you have created, I stand tall.
I stand tall before those I lead, because of what you've shown.
I work along with them not standing behind them.
Letting them know I would not let them do this alone.
So now this chapter of your life has come to a close.
I hope you realize the change you made in my life.
Do not believe the time yoy spent teaching me;
It was not a waste, it was you who made me strong.
Although I will admit I am afraid how to carry on alone.
But following what you have taught me I cannot go wrong.
So I thank you for your patience and kindness of a friend.
No matter where it is I may end up which path I may go.
I will not let what you taught me fade this is not the end.
Thank you again for entering teaching giving strength to lead.
