Such knowledge is beyond my grasp,
Seeing the beauty makes me gasp;
It is so high I cannot reach,
And no preacher could ever preach.
Where can I go to get away,
From His Spirit then I would stray;
Where can I run as not to see,
All the beauty that surrounds me.
If I go up into Heaven,
There is no place for to hide then;
Or if I made my bed in hell,
God would still find where I do dwell.
If I climb to the morning sun,
After the dark of night is done;
Or the land of a distant shore,
Watching the day closing its door.
For even there His hand would guide,
From the beauty I cannot hide;
His right hand would hold onto me,
And open my eyes for to see.
So let the darkness hide me not,
Let the light turn to what I sought;
Let the night be as bright as day,
To see beauty every way.
Darkness and light could be the same,
With the moon at night to proclaim;
For the Lord created it all,
While His voice had made the call.
God alone created my soul,
Because of an ultimate goal;
Knitted inside my mother's womb,
Later to be saved from my tomb.
Thanks be to God wonderful deeds,
Giving assets for our needs;
For His works are miraculous,
Such a beauty is marvelous.
