The Arrival

On the twenty second day of January
Two thousand and fifteen,
God sent the signal and his birth
Went into its routine.

Knit together in his mommy’s womb
And so anxiously a-waited…
This joyful moment brought more mirth
Than his dad anticipated.

Through months of raging hormones…
 A roller coaster uncontrolled!
Today both Mom and Dad are awed
By this little life they hold!

He is worth all the complexities…
All the swelling, the weight gain.
Worth the nine months of discomfort…
Yes, he’s even worth the pain

He’s been named Gavin Michael.
He’s a beautiful man child.
He looks so much like his daddy
That it makes his mommy smile.

Ahh, God has blessed this family!
Our hearts are filled with so much joy.
And we are so thrilled to announce it…
Hallelujah! It’s a boy!!!!

~~Dedicated to the proud parents

~~Author’s Note~~
This is my first great grandson…I have
5 great
granddaughters… and I am just elated to add
a little guy to our family tree. Yay, once again
a little boy batting a ball, running with a football,
trucks and other boy toys scattered all over the
floor...I love the thought!!!

"(as it is written in the Law of the Lord,
"Every male who first opens the womb
shall be called holy to the Lord")"
 [Luke 2:23]

For you formed my inward parts;
you knitted me together in my
 mother's womb. I praise you, for I
am fearfully and wonderfully made
Psalm 139:13
