Locked in this cell I only have thoughts of you my dear
Looking through these bars each day with a saddened heart
What will become of our love, our dreams and aspirations
I know my life is in the hands of the crown, and yet…
With no word from Greenwich I fear the worst is yet to appear
I lay my soul into Gods hands and pray he will deliver a verdict fit…
As for our love and destiny, this will continue not in this life
With me in that other realm where no arm can meet us
And where there is but only one king doing his own bidding…
