 POETICAL ME

To all Hearts in need

Though time has passed since last we were
A need to be, what in heart stirs
Loneliness that still resides
Inside a heart of broken ties

You were the one that brought to life
A dead man walking a flightless kite
That sought to soar above great heights
The warmth to soul, the light to nights

You were much more than words express
The fill to void to emptiness
Love letters typed in simple form
Poetic lines from soul mine sworn

Yes still today becomes of you
As once written that made one two
Belated card for Valentines
To reminisce of you once mine

Loss became a dwelling place
Inside of me that in me traced
Your face when night would come to be
A gift, your face aglow alongside me

I pray you're well and pause this day
To think about of yesterdays
Though Hallmark would have spelled much better
Attempt to write one more love letter

Happy Valentines to all Hearts in need
