Wife's Mom born in Canada
An Irishman wife with English blood
My Father was non Church attending Catholic
I was as an adult Trinity Reformed Church
The kids in my fourth grade class taught me Sunday school
First Catholic masses held in Great Grandfather's living room
Mom was Baptist raised by Mormons as an orphan
She believed so strongly would not convert
A common denominator we all loved Jesus
We all followed the Ten Commandments
I grew up in Rat City during the war
My Step dad was Polish his family steelworkers
I graduated from a high school of mixed blood
Japanese, Chinese, black and Italion
A few with Mac and claims to Irish blood
My friends all races best friend was Jewish
But I lived in an Italian neighborhood
As a boy sat on Governor Rossilini's lap
Entered the Air force with three black friends
Only they were brown and friends
This gets me to Chinese New Years
Friday we well celebrate Chinese New Years
With my Grandson's Mom's mother who is Chinese
If we can get along why can't the world?
