So what would it really matter,
Nothing matters except for that;
Never think that you will flatter,
The Lord while chewing the fat.
For in one way or another,
All the people are to be told;
How Jesus can be their Brother,
And how the Gospel does unfold.
Whether honest or dishonest,
Your motives must be for the good;
With just being humbly modest,
Getting their attention you should.
I am just happy about it,
And will continue to be glad;
Of your effort and the merit,
And that you are not getting sad.
Only that in every way,
Whether in pretence or in truth;
With the Gospel please do not stray,
By starting to become uncouth.
I know that I will be set free,
Through your help as well as your prayers;
For the true colors I can see,
Anyone just who really cares.
I eagerly expect and hope,
Having nothing to be ashamed;
The mocking and insults I cope,
For the truth that I have proclaimed.
So I shall speak boldly about,
My body in honoring Christ;
I shall never shed any doubt,
For all that I have sacrificed.
Whether I live or if I die,
I find it very hard to choose;
Knowing the Gospel is no lie,
Either way I can never lose.
