As the night wraps long stars
Around the eyes that once held
you stood near challenges of life
Pressing away fears
Holding flowers in spring
Wiping the sweat off your brow
As steaming tomatoes brewing a winter storm
In cellars far below underground
Running than catching a mirror
Casting barren trees
Across a fireplace
Blazing hot
Looking into darkness
Humming softly
Until the sound of crunching gravel
Told you the stars were silent
