I have walked down many dusty roads alone
Hiked in the mountains of my country home
Rode a horse in the Nevada desert
The heat sand and wind it was an effort
Kicked sand with my feet on a sandy beach
The ocean water just out of reach
Travel down many footpaths far and wide
Viewing this beautiful earth with great pride
Drove on the endless ribbons of blacktop
Across meadow lands and mountaintops
By my side is my friend my wife my lover
The one who makes this journey brighter
We started the walk in the early spring
Strolling into summer with flowers blooming
Entering the fall with a chill in the evening air
Finding the love so beautiful and rare
Then surrounding us is the cold snowy winter
But nothing stops our endless joy and laughter
As the seasons roll by we still continue on
The walk we started is our strongest bond.
