 once upon a time

johnmcguckin78gmailcomheathergibsonjohnnyduncangeishashadowsontheheart

Settled in

There's the noise of rain against the window pane

and the puckering of flames flicking over the coals.

Shelter and warmth all, that's needed when nature

comes to call you bide her good day and send her away

Settle in let the day turn into night, rainswept outside

the gods of wrath clash and fight we'll quietly sit

allow the Heath  of the fire to scour out the cold.

This  is our momentary respite against the night.

Gently faces form in the flames memories lay softly

beside me. names are formed in the flames as once

again we sit listening to the wind rage against the light

But nothing will harm us here tonight, natures cast out.
