Choose and Choose Well the Important Things

NO matter what the issues may be we are to choose and choose well the important things God has for us.
All He has to offer is all important to Him no matter what we may think.
An example is washing dishes for the Lord.
Being in college some years ago I had a work scholarship of doing that.
I had my reported time to be there and stayed until I was through.
Jesus was happy with me at this time and point to allow me to remain there for a time.
Having misfortune of finding a job on the outside was my downfall.
I had denied the Lord and His people the ability I had for singing.
Wanting the charmed life of going to a prestigious church was my goal.
Forgetting what God had called me to do I lost my ability to stay; in school.
I sacrificed myself on the altar of the immediate to my shame and regret today.
Having learned a valuable lesson I have been given a reprieve of writing poetry which I have done for twenty-five years.
God has taken it and blessed it so I am fortunate to say I am doing something for Him.
Be happy with what you are doing and never do what I did.
