Progressive Thinker's Rage
There are those who mock and hate the ones
Whose views are not their own
Then condescend and lecture them
With an arrogance full-blown.
They fail to see their pompousness
To them, there's no disgrace
In criticizing others for
The convictions they embrace.
Yes, because of their enlightenment
And presumed great intellect
They tend to think opposing views
Unworthy of respect.
But isn't that the way it is
In this "new normal" age
When conflicting beliefs and values spark
The progressive thinker's rage?
