Thank you my friend always Wordrider
Your Ministry in Veteran's Outreach Ministry
giving of yourself more important than money
The Veteran gave of himself when he signed those papers
To understand when signed you offer your life
For the love of your fellow beings
Not all the stories of our heroes are told
While stationed in Korea
Our houseboy a friend not an employee
One day said, "Dandy, I want you to see something."
He took me to a nearby orphange
Kids who were damaged by the war
The kids at first were afraid of us
Hiding in the shadows
But more of our buddies came
Were teaching these kids how to play baseball
Touch football and soccer
Kids and Airman removing rocks and making a playing field
From their own pockets bringing balls and equipment
These are things our veterans did not often in print
I was proud the day a Korean Athlete made it to the big leagues
Our unsung heroes are not only killing machines
I can't forget the faces of those tiny kids
Many on crutche many with lost limbs
Now it is time to help those who help others
Men like you are what I am talking about--Wordrider
May love of peace reach out to all who care
God bless the world and those who give of themselves!
